Item hasn't arrived - buyer is leaving the country...

What would you do if you were the seller?
Overseas buyer buys something from you and wants the cheapest postage (and incidentally takes a flipping age to pay). A few weeks later they contact you to say the item hasn't arrived (no questions, just a statement saying "it's not arrived"). You reply and say the postage method they chose can take well over a month so please give it a little longer. They reply and say ok but they're leaving the country for good in two weeks (again, no questions, just this statement, but you feel it is ominous). What do you do if the buyer contacts you again in two weeks to say the item still hasn't arrived? Bearing in mind that a) they shouldn't have been so flipping stupid to buy something from overseas using such a slow shipping method if they knew they were moving out of the country and b) it will just be past the 45 day Paypal claim limit.

Did you post it tracked?

They can raise a dispute in PayPal up to 60 days after.
Ask them if they plan to have their mail re-directed. It's not your fault but they can still open a case. Does it have your return address on it?I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Disputes can be opened up to 45 days not 60.
A chargeback can be made up to 180 days, sometimes longer if you can show fraudulent use.0 -
What country has it gone to? You should use that country's tracking once the parcel has left the UK.
Out of interest what service did you use that is tracked and will take a month?0
