How much would a holiday in Florida cost now

Has any one been to Florida Orlando recently?

Can they give me an estimate based on two adults and a non driving holiday as well for two weeks? (I know they have the shuttles there to get about as used those when I went years and years ago)

Flights?
Hotel/Inn?
Spending Money?
All the Disney places?
Health Insurance?

Thanks.

    Are you serious?

    Flights.

Depends when and where you can fly from

    Hotel.

Depends when your going and what standard of accomodation you expect.

    Spending money.

How long is a piece of string, do you want to shop? Does this include food etc etc

    All the disney places.

Do you want to go to each park once or more?

    Health insurance.

How old are you? Any pre-exsisting conditions?

Sorry but this the wooliest post ever so many variables that only you can answer and all of the answers are easily found by you through an hour on the internet

    Totally agreed!

How difficult is it to go to, for example, Virgin Holidays website and check the price of package holidays plus attraction tickets for starters?

Over ten bob, and that's before you find your passport is out of date, your Natwest card won't work and you want to change the dates a couple of times.

We went in March/April for 2 weeks (2 adults) and the total cost of flights/accomdation was about £1200 (including car rental, so probably about £1000).

Insurance was about £20 p/p IIRC. Anywhere around and on International Drive and Univeral Boulevard has the I-Ride trolleys which you can get singles, day passes, week passes etc and are good value, considering each theme park charges about $15 to park if you drive and I think we paid about $15 for a 2 week pass for the i-ride (again if I remember correctly).

We had approx $1100 each as spending money which would include food and drinks as the hotel was room only.

That lasted the holiday fine, but we already had tickets to each of the 6 major theme parks and a 2 day disney pass to MK.

That got us by fine, a few souveniers each and a few very big steaks each! Inlcuding in the spending money was gas and hotel stay ($75p/p) in Miami Beach as we went down half way through the holiday to watch WrestleMania.

If you want a 2 week Disney pass you're looking at about £400-500 for one that covers it all I am sure. Approx £200 for a Flex Ticket which will cover you for Universal Studios, IOA, Seaworld, Wet n Wild, Aquatica and an extra tenner for the plus ticket that gets you into Busch Gardens, Tampa too.

Hope some of that helps. :)

PS We have noticed 2013 prices are a little bit dearer than this years as we have looked at going again.

We're going end of July (15 days) and have paid the following prices :- Gatwick to Orlando for 7 adults £5700 (BA) Villa booked from local in UK £1000, car hire (7 seater) £420 with fuel and 3 drivers, disney tickets (ultimate) £236 each. All paid for in advance including FairFX travel money card. Taking all the family for probably our last family holiday (children and grandchildren) so splashing out.

We had approx $110 each as spending money

Was that per day? or for 14 days?
If the later, I'm well impressed at you being able to enjoy yourselves on $8/day or $2.50/day if you take out the wrestling thing

As a couple in the US [not done the Florida parks though] we usually budget $100/day spends

    We're going on 29th August 2 adults break down;
Return flights from Gatwick to MCO, 14 nights at the Rosen Inn @ Pointe Orlando (I Drive) and transfers - £1686 (for both of us and including a credit card fee)

2 FlexPlus tickets to include Wet & Wild, CityWalk, Universal, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens w/free transport - £398

3 night caribbean full board cruise out of Port Canaveral & tranfers- £520 (for both of us)

    Spending money for food/shopping etc - £2200

So in TOTAL it's cost us £4804.00 but that is including our cruise! Not bad at all I don't think :)
