Have a look on dog pages they have a list of rescue centres all over the country.0
-
Also a lot of rescues use foster homes so even a rescue the other side of the country may have a suitable dog near you0

I wouldnt know where to start looking, as I had Ruby from a puppy, I will have a nose about0

YES! I volunteer for RACR rescue in Nottingham. Please contact us and find out which dogs need homes http://rattiemommysallcarerescue.webs.com/

Also check out the facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/racr.rescue0 -
When I was looking for a rescue dog for the first time I literally just put 'dog rescue' into google and then spent days trawling the results until I had a shortlist of rescues that seemed reputable and wouldn't reject me out of hand. I then bookmarked those rescues and checked them everyday until the right dogs came up, then I drove halfway across the country to pick them up!
Best of luck, thank you for choosing to rescue!0 -

Hi, I'm not sure if it would be too far away for you but I'd definately recommend Rain Rescue in South Yorkshire.
I've been supporting them since a bad experience with another rescue in Sheffield.
They mainly rescue from council pounds where the dogs are due to be put to sleep, and despite being tiny manage to save 200+ dogs each year along with cats and other animals.
From following them on Facebook I know that despite the fact a lot of their dogs come with limited know history, they are very diligent in assessing them and incredibly honest about behaviour and temperament.
They rehome dogs all around the country, so it wouldn't be an issue to them that you are based in Notts.

Good luck!Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
