Rossendales Bailiffs Need Advice

My reply back to Rossendales -
I do not have a letter that states my condition, I can get one next week when I see him for a check up. I have scanned my prescription though which shows that I am on medication called Citalopram which is used for aniexty/depression/panic disorder.
I do not want the bailiff to visit my home it will cause me even more stress and I am vunerable at the moment this is why I have sent the form to you via email. I believe I am within my rights to do this. Not only that but I dont work near where I live (50mile round trip) so to get home at a time when he can visit is not feasable during my lunch break, nor can I take time off at short notice.
Please advise if I can set up a payment plan now, I will make my first payment on Friday.0 -

Thank you for your email.
Please provide us with a letter from the hospital or the doctor which states your condition.
if you can provide proof send it to rossers and your council
Your case is allocated to the first call bailiff who is here to assist you. His role is to carry out a levy to secure the debt and leave you all the relevant paperwork to complete and return to the office to have instalments considered.
You do need to contact the first call bailiff on 07894480074 to discuss your account further.
send them an e-mail
Informing them that you will not be getting in touch with bailiff xxxx
you have already sent them a payment proposal
you will not be allowing a bailiff access to your home to levy good
Thanks for advice Hallowitch I am now going to forward to my contact at council too.
as RAS said DO YOU OWN A CAR this is a very important question because if you do and its on your drive or parked outside your house they will put a levy on itI am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites

No I dont own my car its on HP
I see my Dr next Weds, I have 3-4 weekly check ups. I will ask him to provide me with a letter to prove my illness. I also have a months worth of CBT (Cognitive Behavourial Therapy) due to my condition. I have forwarded the emails to my contact at the council who was very helpful yesterday. She said if I have any more problems with them she will do her best to recover the debt so I can pay the council directly but the recovery debt says its not a gurantee that they will do this. 0 -
Hi, Rossendales have not replied to my emails. But I have 2 missed calls from the bailiff. What should I do?0

My personal opinion is to ignore them. They can't do anything without a levy and if you ignore them then they will return the debt to council then you can pay the council a much more sensible figure. This could be by means of an attachment of earnings order if they refuse your offer.shopaholic2639 wrote: »Hi, Rossendales have not replied to my emails. But I have 2 missed calls from the bailiff. To be honest I dont want to just ignore them as its making me very unwell, I just want it all sorted out but just dont want a complete stranger in my house. I jump everytime the door goes!0

They want their levy and will not accept instalments without one and they don't have to accept your payments so you have a problem. Either you let them in so they have their levy or you ignore them.shopaholic2639 wrote: »To be honest I dont want to just ignore them as its making me very unwell, I just want it all sorted out but just dont want a complete stranger in my house. You have notified them of your medical condition so they should not be visiting at all. You have said further proof will be provided next week so they shouldn't visit before then.:footie:

I wouldn't respond to the calls (there's no record of what is said in telephone calls), but would continue to use email/letters.0 -
Thats what I thought. I am not in the right frame of mind to speak on phone & feel id be pushed into something. I am about to email them again cc' my local council as well.
On their website they have a request for extra time form which is basically an income and expediture they say to email it over so can discuss a payment plan. This is what I have done! I dont understand how they can offer this on their website but demand the bailiff to have entry to my home to take a levy.0 -
I totally agree that you should not speak to the bailiff on the phone bailiffs exaggerate the truth
we need a levy on you're goods to secure a payment plan (not true)
we can use a locksmith/police to gain entry (only true if they have already been in your home to levy goods)
we can get you committed to prison for non payment /refusing us access (not true the local authority can initiate committal proceeding's for wilful refusal to pay) however as you have offers a payment plan you are not refusing to pay
all the above and more is said to frighten you into allowing the bailiff finto your home to levy your goods DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN
as long as you don't allow the bailiff access to your home (keep your doors locked when you are at home and your windows closed at all times ) YOU control the debt NOT THE BAILIFFI am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites
