Time between applications...

in Credit cards
Hi... how long is it best to leave between credit card applications? I got a new card last month because of BT rate.... but now I want to apply for the Nectar Amex in Martin's newsletter (£30 pin money I can take of another debt!). The application has to in by the end of March tho, so is that too soon?
I don't intend to apply for any more credit in the near future, so it doesn't matter too much if I do get rejected... but how long does a rejection stay on ur credit file?
Thanx x

If you only have applied for that one card you have at the moment, then applying for another one should be OK. If you get turned down, don't be applying for loads more, as this can lead to things getting worse. The CC companys you apply to can see the other searches you make, so a lot in a short time period will make them wary about giving you a card.
I don't think searches have the info if you are accepted or declinded, but they stay on your record for about 6 to 12 months i *think* but I could be wrong.Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34
