Late pregnancy emotions??

I'm 36 weeks pregnant with my third child and I am feeling sooo emotional. I could (and do) cry at the slightest thing. Mostly I'm feeling completely unloved by my husband which I am sure is not true. He has had to take on a lot more of the household chores in the last couple of weeks to help me out and hates that although he does it, he is quite grumpy and I am taking it all personally and crying.

I'm just wondering if most women get very emotional in late pregnancy or is this a sign of possible PND? (I can't remember whether or not I felt like this with my previous 2 pregnancies)

I was really weepy with my 2nd one who was born in August, I think it was a mixture of the heat and exhaustion.

I think its normal for most women to get very emotional all the time, pregnant or not, so don't worry about it! Try not to self diagnose PND before you've had baby :)

Wishing you lots and lots of luck for the impending birth and hopefully you will feel better soon. Try to relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy :)

It's very normal and a sign you're getting close to giving birth. Just be kind to yourself.

I was a total wreck before I had number 3, tears, panic attacks, not sleeping and barely eating, lost about a stone in the last trimester, the works. No hint of PND after he was born though. By contrast, was blissfully relaxed and happy right up to waters breaking with number 2 and had the worst PND my GP has ever seen after she was born. So my personal experience is that the period just before the birth has little impact on how you will feel afterwards.

That being said, it is horrid to feel so miserable so late in pregnancy and I hope you feel a lot better soon. And all the best with the birth and new arrival.

It is possible to get pre-natal depression, I've had it with my eldest..

You are going through a massive ordeal, birth isn't straightforward, we are scared of the unknown..

I have planned sections with mine and I find it a little easier to get my head round as I get to plan it, I get a time and date...

Childbirth is a massive upheaval and I bet you are not sleeping..
    This doesn't help matters...

There isn't long left and perhaps speaking to your midwife will help, there is also extra support sometimes, my hospital had a counselling service called birth reflections who helped me in my last pregnancy..

IT's also the thought of something going wrong, we know as women that until the baby is in our arms we can't relax...
I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...
