Reluctant traveler, help with cheap trip please

please help :D

Im trying to organise a short break with my mum for early october (4night) flying from Bristol on a B&B/HB basis
I have been thinking of Spain/canary islands as 4 hours would be the max she would fly.

now it get's difficult for me  her requirements are warm to hot weather (helps with her arthritis) clean hotel with air con rooms (the best bit) a quiet english place in spain (food & language) :rotfl:she a bit worried about traveling solo with me with my habit of winging it in foreign climes (well im good at charades) :D

My requirments clean & cheap as im paying, it's a simple boring sit by the pool trip at £500 max on the whole trip

At that time of time of your your really cannot beat the Costa Del Sol. Get cheap flights into Malaga and then there are endless places to choose from along the coast - with plenty of places that serve "proper English" food. Everyone will speak English because most people there are British.

No flights to Gibralter from Bristol, looking at flight prices looks like it's going to be Andalusia anyone have any hotels to recommend?

Unless I've missed one, Malaga seems to be the only airport in Andalusia that Bristol is connected to.

And if you are basically looking for England but in the Sun, Andalusia is probably your best best. Palma may be worth considering as well - I try and avoid it while in Spain but there were a lot of English people around so I'd assume it would cater to them (definitely a lot of English cafes etc. in Magalluf next door to Palma, but I'm not quite sure that would be your Mum's kinda thing!).

Thanks everyone, i've spent the evening looking at a couple of reasonable hotels in the Malaga area and my eyes are now square.

I have also found a place in puerto de la cruz (miramar) thats got good reviews H/B & flights for £200pp with 4.5% cashback I've never done Tenerife what's it like?
I prefer city breaks Barcelona or Seville, do you think I could get away with this? :D is Tenerife English enough :rotfl:
