HOme insurance claim - HELP!

We were burgled in dec 2011 and our insurers have still not paid out. I have gone to the financial ombudsman and now things seem to be moving after 7 months. The valued the stolen jewellery at 1900/- but will pay the full amount only in vouchers. The cash value is only 1500/ pounds. Can this be contested and if so how do i go about it?

Basically only if you can meet one of the two conditions can you argue full settlement by cash:
(1) the jewelers they give vouchers for simply cannot replace the items with anything similar - eg your Audemars Piguet watch is stolen and they offer you H Samuels vouchers or
(2) the item is purely of sentimental value and in no way would you consider replacing it - eg your grandmothers engagement ring thats was sat in your jewelery box unworn for the last 30 years.0
