Hello,
Not sure if this is in the right place but it doesnt seem to fit anywhere else? I need some advice please.
My ex is still living in our house whilst its on the market, I found out today from a friend that my ex has sold items belonging to me that were in the property, Fridge freezer, washer, dryer, bed, dining table etc. I had all these items on finance agreements in my name so I can prove they were mine. Hes sold them for around £450 according to the friend, my ex himself wont admit to me how much he sold them for but he has admitted to me by email that he has sold them.
I owe him £150 from a holiday we had before we split & we had agreed that I would give him the money from my share of the house sale when it eventually sells, however now that I've pulled him up over the fact that hes sold my items without my permission he is demanding the £150 right now.
I've told him to forget it as I know he's made far more than £150 from selling my belongings so to save argument just call it quits & both move on but hes still insisting he wants the £150 back now & as I left the items in the house when I moved out he can do whatever he wants with them including selling them or giving them away.
He also wont let me in the house to collect any of my belongings & has changed the locks.
Is there anything I can do?
Thank you.

P.S I saw a Solicitor for a free legal advice session before I found out he had sold my stuff when I just wanted access to get my belongings & he had changed the locks & wouldnt let me in & the Solicitor basically said just break in & if the police come show the a copy of your deeds to prove you have the right to enter! Not want I want to do ideally!0

By law, he has to give you a key and let you in the house; you are entitled to live there is you wish.
Get written evidence that you have tried to enter the house to collect your belongings, if you cant get that, get texts.
Go to the police and ask them to accompany you to prevent a breach of the peace occuring when you go to collect your goods.
Advise the twerp that if you have to get the locksmith out, he will be paying out of his share of the proceeds.
So he gives you a key, lets you in to remove your goods or it is locksmiths and police attendence. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
With regards to who owes what it's all tit for tat. Do what you're doing and just forget about it.
With regards to the rest of your personal belongings at the property I would go and retrieve them as soon as possible - before he starts selling them 9or destroys them to be awkward). If it's your house and you're on the deeds do whatever it takes to get into the property i.e. wait til he's out and then break in.
Then just wait for the property to be sold. You'll have a solicitor acting for you for the sale that should help to prevent any further complications.
Once everythign has gone through walk away and forget about him!0
