At the mo 2 folks say they would definately buy one - I'm surprised - most people (and thats not a lot) say they don't use the touch screen on their AIO as it it too far from their seat, having to reach for it is not comfortable. Alternatively having a large screen too close to ones' eyes, may give rise to eye strain?

I myself have the keyboard on my lap so wouldn't work for me either.

Just because it is a AIO doesn't mean it has a touchscreen. AIO's come with Keyboard and Mice.

    I voted def not.

I prefer to build my own pc as I know whats in it and that I can upgrade when I wish.

I have a Packard Bell AIO, I have no complaints about it - it has touchscreen and I find it is NOT an effort using it. I can understand that people may miss the mobility that a laptop gives but hey, I have a laptop too and an iPhone .. so no problem getting the internet in bed. :)

iMacs seem nice enough though. The 27" screen model does have a great screen in my opinion. However, as others have said, if one thing goes wrong it will compromise the the whole unit.

Even if the PC is under warranty, say the HDD packs in. When you send the unit back to Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc., you are without a WHOLE computer for as long as they take to repair it and ship it back to you. Very much like a laptop in that respect but without the true portability.

I think I will be buying. Is ideal for me. Limited space to work in and I do like a big screen and touch. And some of the new models are very stylish. I also like the fact that some of them can now pivot right down so that you can use as a sketch pad... brilliant for moments of visual creativity.
