Small Business Rates Relief

Options
Hello Everybody,

My wife has recently opened a business (a Cafe) and we would like to apply for a small business rates relief. The requirement is that this is the only property she owns. She opened it with her business partner (let’s call her person B) who’s boyfriend (person C) owns a business as well (his own Cafe). Person A (my wife) and B would not be able to buy the lease for the property due to no credit history. The superior landlord agreed to rent the property to A and B only if C will be on the buyers list as well.

So the business is run by the partners A and B. The partners are registered as business rates payers. Lease for the property is owned by A, B and C.

It is true to say that A and B own only 1 property?

Thank you!
