Egg Loan - No policy details?

Options
Hi - I've already had some success with HSBC Loans & PPI, and realised I'd had an Egg loan years back, settled in 2006, and potentially (Almost certainly) included PPI. Only problem is I have no record of the loan account number, and have so far not been able to find any way of getting it from Egg? Does anyone have a number I can call? I've seen from other threads that Egg sold their loan business last year, will the new bunch have also inherited 6 years of loan account history?

Thanks in advance

As a newbie I can't post links :( but search these forums for
"Egg loan being sold and my ppi claim"
and it looks as though you should still pursue the claim through Egg.
    Cheers

Hi I am in the same boat but had an iva which is now settled and complete. I have emailed the letter to them and I know I was miss sold ppi as the lady on the phone said for this amount you would be more likely to be accepted if you take out the ppi. I got a response saying that my loan was sold off and that I need to get in touch with arrow global I did and told by them that I need to inform egg it's about ppi and they need to provide the details.

Just waiting for my response back from egg. Might try the number in a bit.

Where do I go if they don't provide the details.

    Regards

Thank you thank you, exactly what I was looking for. Also to the first respondent, cheers also, found a number of similar threads...

Aidanb - I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to not provide loan details, irrespective of any statute of limitations? could be wrong. Your own credit report should provide your loan policy number if that fails, also try phoning the bank from which your direct debit was taken, they may still have details on file...

Finally, my advice is that you don't need to go to any great length to justify your claim on the form you fill in - I got £10k back from HSBC and my answers were honest yet reflected the vagueness of the entire PPI scheme, I simply put that I didn't know whether or not I'd been charged PPI, and if I had I certainly hadn't been made aware, and would have refused it had I been given the opportunity. Good luck...

Just tried the number and it's an automated voice to say fill the form out on the website, I have the account number as I got it before they cleared my online account took a screen shot but not sure where I stored it will need to hut my hard drives which I have many.

The iva still keeps the account active so they do have the paper work and if not they must have a copy of what I was paying and what the amount was as they know it was sent to grant Thornton and they have the amount.

Loan total £12610.30 loan taken out £7000.00 so how much interest how much ppi.

    Regards
