You only need to provide a VAT receipt if you are VAT registered.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Only VAT registered businesses can offer a VAT receipt. This has to have their VAT number on it, and allows other VAT registered companies to reclaim that part of the bill.
If you aren't VAT registered, send a receipt for the item, dated, showing description and amount paid. This will allow anyone who has bought the item from you to put it through their books, possibly to offset against profits.

Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
Should OF, would OF. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.0 -
If you are VAT registered you are obliged to include your VAT number on receipts and invoices although you don't have to itemise the VAT element if the total is under 250 pounds.
The OP obviously gave the impression of being a larger operation than he is. All he needs to do is reply saying that he is not VAT registered.0 -
agh right
