My veg is starting to flourish, what can I do with radishes??

Oh. It might have already done that
I should really take pictures tonight of the veg so you all know what I'm talking about.
The radish seems to have grown to a certain level, then over the last few weeks it seems to have taken another growth spurt, there is longer leaves coming out the top. The rocket seems to have done the same, been all one level then boom! another growth of tall thin leaves
Sounds like they are both going to seed, happens to lettuces as well they basically start growing upwards and get flowers and eventually produce seeds. The flowers on rocket and raddish are pretty and certainly raddish flowers can be put in salads and the plant then goes on to produce little spicy seed pods.
Unless you need the space for other crops leaving a few to go to seed looks quite nice gives you some extra unusual edibles and the insects love the flowers-they then hopefully go on to pollinate your other crops.

i had a glut of radishes a couple of years ago. the nicest thing i ever did with them was pick them at the baby stage (i'm talking about 1cm - 1.5cm circumference), WITH their leaves still on, and boil them whole for about 10 mins. while they're still hot, put on a plate and add a knob of butter and a bit of salt and pepper. absolutely delicious!
the leaves are a bit like wilted spinach, and the radishes have hardly any heat but are reeeeally tasty!
xx
Must agree with this they are delicious, I also like them in a stirfry
or curry and used to do them in a cheese ,onion and tomato quiche or pie.Slimming World at target0
