Best customer service?

My wife and I currently use a Tesco Platinum card as we collect the points and use them for family days out, Eurotunnel tickets and breakdown insurance.

We have always been pleased with Tesco until two recent incidents that required us to contact their late payments team and also raise a dispute on an unrelated matter.

After many phone calls, broken promises from Tesco to call us back and lots of chasing the matters have been resolved but we do not feel that Tesco have given us good customer service.

Could people on here comment on which credit card provider they believe gives the best customer service?

i have the santander zero cc and i have never had a problem with them

I too am looking at good service credit cards due to closing Tesco card in similar circumstances i.e. poor Tesco Bank service.

First Direct (as usual) appears good in the Which guide but heard they are difficult to get and might require their current account too.

I'm really not sure which card to replace Tesco but I want it to have great service, that's most important to me.

In a follow up to my earlier post I did some research - I looked at the most recent Which? credit card service league - Tesco rated 71% overall but John Lewis rated the highest at 89% - and a full 5 stars for dealing with complaints..

So I applied online with JL and got an instant approval - they send a form to sign next and then I get the card..
