Day trip to Eurodisney...

I would maybe exchange £30 into Euros & use your card, if you can take more than 1. My OH told his bank , RBS that we were off to France for 2 wks to warn them, 1st time he went to get money out it blocked it & despite several expensive phone call's on his mobile & reassurances they never sorted it. Whole 2 wk spends in France went on my Nationwide card:eek: Have a fab time, how old is your dd, everyone loves the Small World ride even scardey cats.
Nooo, Small World is my idea of hell on earth!! That flaming song going round and round in your head for ever afterwards, and all those dolls. But yes, it is tame, just a boat ride isn't it.
I think most if not all of the rides are fairly tame really. Even the more "white knuckle" rides such as crush's coaster and space mountain weren't that bad. Not like proper white knuckle stuff somewhere like Alton Towers, that type of thing. Even my just-turned-six year old DS went on Tower of Terror a good few times. And I found I prefer the indoor in the dark roller coasters - I thought I'd be more scared, not being able to see, but I found that was less scary tbh. :rotfl:
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
Know what you mean about the music re small world - I had to sing it to dd every night for month's to get her off to sleep. We went on the tower of terror by accident thinking it was the haunted house. DD was only 4 I thought we were all going to die, took a wee while to get her on another ride after that. We can laugh now though phew.Booo!!!0

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I bet that came as a shock!! One of the "bellboys" took a shine to DS on one of the occasions we went on, told him it was going to be his last day, etc..., really tried to wind him up. DS was looking daft at him. I felt a bit soft myself when I was up there because he was cool as a cucumber and I was hanging onto his arm screaming my head off. He's six!!
One of DD/DS's teachers set new words to the "small world" music, in welsh, so every time we go to a concert at the school, they sing this bloody song and I want to commit murder!

I agree. I'd tell you daughter that that one's an attraction, not a ride.everyone [other than Janepig!] loves the Small World ride even scardey cats.
If you really are not going on any rides then I've got a money saving suggestion. I doubt you'll go for it, but I'll make it:
Don't go into Disneyland.
Just go to the village.
There's Disney restaurants (including Cafe Mickey where they've got characters), Disney shops, etc. It's not the same as going into the park itself, but it's the next best thing and no entry fee.0 -
I was assuming OP had got free Sky tickets, and thats why they were doing a day trip?0

Indeed we have
And we live quite close to Ebbsfleet so are going directly from there.
DD has wanted to go for a while (she is nearly 9) but she is dyspraxic and DOES not do rides-literally, she won't go on a swing in the park as that is movement where her feet are not on the floor
Her mother (me!) has been waiting for 21 years, so I can at least see the wonder that is DLP :rotfl:
I will also be taking DS (20 months) so I will have my hands full
