Asking for help with kitchen extractor fan, please.

    Hi, I would say yes to mechanical extraction and the ventilation is refering to the replacement air coming back into the kitchen.

    BTW you can still have a cookerhood infront of the window either an Island extractor or a downdraft one. We have done both in the past and it would make a difference to you.

    Just to update this for anyone that stumbles across this thread subsequently. We had our final inspection today and the Buildings Inspector gave sign-off without the need for any additional mechanical extraction.
