  • I'm back from having more blood taken - hopefully the iron has starting having an impact and some of the other strange levels I had are starting to resolve themselves. Also being tested for coeliac disease but hopefully that's going to come back negative.

The hospital is right near a T's so seemed rude not to pop in and get the new price flops. Need to sit and cut out the coupons now with a nice cuppa.

    Saturated fats = bad
    Unsaturated fats = good

You can sub-divide unsaturated fats into mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated. Poly- is healthier than mono-unsaturated.

If you want a bit of science:

Fats contain carbon and hydrogen atoms which are bonded together. In a saturated fat, the maximum number of bonds between carbon atoms and hydrogen atoms have been formed; thus making the fat 'saturated'. In an unsaturated fat, there are less carbon and hydrogen bonds and thus less hydrogen atoms. But you do have more carbon-carbon double bonds. This makes a poly unsaturated fat healthier.

    Hope that makes sense.

I think so. So a poly unsaturated fat due its free bonds can bond with some of the bad stuff to help cart it away?

    Good morning lovely people,

Hugs and wishes to all that are needed.

Haven't been able to get out much recently. I posted some time ago about Safecoupons £1 off a bottle of Mateus Rose. But there were no offers at that time.

I see it is now £3.79 a bottle at Mr T's, so £2.79 with the coupon.

If you managed to get 6 ...Sainsburys currently have the 25% off 6 bottles. So that takes it from £4.49 to £3.37 - then down to £2.37 a bottle with 6 coupons.

I had to laugh this morning, driving my daughter to primary school. The news on the radio was reporting on something David Cameron was saying. My daughter exclaimed is David Cameron the Prime Minister that left his baby in the pub?

It's hard to take him serious now with that label :D

  • Had to go back to doctors this morning as ellas face had swollen up, saw a different doctor who says theres no way she's got scarlet fever.
He asked have we changed our washing powder which we did at the weekend and the she wore for the last 2 days and the blanket which she sleeps with her face on was washed in the new powder. He's given her piriton medicine and I've bought my old powder again and rewashing everything.
I'm still going to keep her on the anti biotics just in case

It was when you told me that living the simple life was for you.

I'm after someone with a big [STRIKE]bank balance that will shower me with expensive gifts [/STRIKE] heart that will shower me with love  It most definitely isn't your age Mr Knickers, infact older the better. I've always fancied [STRIKE]being a gold digger[/STRIKE] a more distinguished fella
