    totally off topic.

    my son went camping on monday morning, but has failed to ring me :mad::mad: not even a 30 second "i'm fine mum". i did think,maybe he having such a good time that he hasnt had tme to call. or maybe his mobile is flat. i did wonder to call him, but that may embaress him in front of his mates:o why do kids find it so hard to call home? i always called home, mum gave me 10p to use in the phone box.

    mmw, this is definately a teenage boy thing, probably best not to try and phone him, because if you do and his phone is out of battery it will just worry you more:(

    Hi all. Came in tonight to tell you all I had some good news to share and to answer the PMs I have had, but it doesn't seem right to do so given the deeply sad news I've just seen about Alan 3Dogs, so I'll wait for the new thread.

    Susan, I have been reading your posts every day and have been full of admiration at the way you and Alan were dealing with your situation.

    I am so sorry Alan has lost his fight, but am sure he was comforted that your were with him when it was time for him to move on to that place where he will have no pain.

    My heart goes out to you and my glass is raised to both you and your husband at this very sad time. Stay strong.

    I just got back a VERY interesting price check result on a womble

    1 x WILKINSON SWORD QUATTRO FOR WOMEN BLADES 3'S T £ 6.49/ A£ 1.00

    :eek::eek::eek:

    Mysupermarket has them at £5 in Asda and Asdas own website has them at £5. Could they really have been just £1 in A's yesterday?!?!?! I find that hard to believe, surely this is a price promise glitch!

    Receipt is dated 3/7/12 so hopefully it's not been fixed yet and others can take advantage.

    Unless of course I am totally wrong and they were genuinely on offer in As for £1. I hope I'm not wrong
    Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen

    Please tell me more,,, I have supporting cables for a telegraph pole anchored in my front garden (prevents me from extending my parking area). Is there money to be had?

    we get paid for every pole / stay and underground cable you should contact your electricity company, wayleave department a single pole is worth 6.86 rental plus 18.46 compensation as it is on arable land. this cheque was for one they missed for a few years.. if the cables are on your property they are renting that area from you and how much you get depends on how much you are affected. so we get a lot more for ones on arable land than the ones in the hedge or gardens.
