This sounds very good. I'm sure that the lovely RedFox will let the two threads overlap for a few hours.0 -
totally off topic.

Can I now suggest that at 12 noon tomorrow we close this thread and start a new one.. In his memory??
I really dont think Mrs 3Dogs would want to see us going on and on about it for a week or so...
What do you all think??
Totally agree with that.I wonder West, and it may be too much at this time, but it might be nice to ask one of Susan's friends over on her diary whether it may be an honour she would like to have in starting the new thread.
Also agree with that, if she feels up to it, not sure whether it is appropriate or not though. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I missed the 8pm celebration of Alans life so Im now having my drink of Carlsberg to his memory. My candle is lit and burning brightly as I raise a glass to a brave and inspirational man. Susan may you hold on to your wonderful memories of your time together. Brilliant idea about the new thread in his honor.SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350

I will check in before I go to work, if 3 Dogs' friends from the other thread dont want to/ cant do it... I shall do so before I go to work as long as redfox closes the thread at 12pm... I'll be happy.. call me stupid, I just feel that 12pm is the perfect time to move on...
I shall PM redfox the link to open the new one...
Can Someone PM me before morning so I dont have to trawl through the thread before going to work so I can get it sorted if one of 3dogs friends dont want to/ cant do it....
Im signing off now in my own thoughts...

If he is camping its likely that his phone is flat; mine used to seem to use more power at night when it was cold. Not unlike me actually!!
Does he have your home number written down anywhere or is it just on his phone?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. SpiralingDown wrote: »My DS thought I was slowly going loopy today because I've been so teary so I told him about what had happened to Alan and Susan 3Dogs, he said 'was that the man with the funny hats?' I didn't even remember showing him the photos but he did
DS's been happy enough to be in our own house finally (3 days now) and to be left to put his Wii and his dads PS3 up and was only when he'd done the last one and powered it on that a reminder came up on the screen saying 'Florida this month, hopefully'
He turned to me and said 'is this why you've been so upset for the last few days? Dad would be happy that you've decided to go ahead with the holiday and so am I'
DH and I had decided that the holiday would be a good one for between primary and secondary schools so had been talking about it in the weeks before he died and were going to book it the day after he died.
I wasn't going to book it but DS said Dad would be so cross with me for not having something to look forward to but now it's only a few days away (Saturday we go) I don't know how I feel. I know it'll be hard but hopefully DS will have a good time
Awww SDI knew this would be an extremely difficult time for you :A You are wonderful and been through so much. It must have been such a difficult struggle these past few years and you've dealt with it so courageously and selflessly being everything for everyone else including a BRILLIANT Mummy to your DS and putting so many of us to shame how involved you are with your local community, how much you take on.
It's going to be hard but the memories you create together, the things you see, Disney is such an incredible, magical place, you will be able to treasure them forever and it will be a very special set of memories for you both as you begin this new chapter with somewhere to finally call home. Your hubby would have wanted nothing more than for you to follow through with the plans you created together, to cherish eachother and to suck every single drop of enjoyment you can from life. Make it a holiday to remember, you're brilliant and you deserve it.
Sending you strength, love, kisses and cuddles :Axxxx'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -
