For Susan and Alan
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Susan - let us pick you up and carry you and know you are not facing this time alone.
Lyrics below are to one of my favourite songs.
My Immortal
Evanescence
I'm so tired of being here, suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave, I wish that you would just leave
Because your presence still lingers here and it won't leave me alone
These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me
You used to captivate me by your resonating light
Now, I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me
These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me, I've been alone all along
When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me, me, me

Thinking of you Susan at this difficult time
Makes you wonder why people complain and get upset at petty things when I read about you what have been through. Such dignity and courage.

I agree West, it will take time for all the many people who read this thread to catch up and time should be given to allow them to post. Do not forget though that Susan and Alan's diary can be found here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3551689 and will be a lasting memory for Susan of how much Alan meant to so many people and how many hearts he touched in both life and death.
I know everyone has woken with a heavy heart today at the sad news and will want to post their condolences, but we must all remember that Alan lived his life to the full and along with the love and comfort we can offer to Susan at this sad time he would also have wanted us to carry on with our lives and live them too.
Susan will take great comfort from all of our messages of love and support i'm sure, but as time passes she will need this thread to return to how it once was, with news of glitches, happy and sad times in our lives and the huge heart and support network that is the Elite.
I think we should keep Alan and Susan close at heart but in the coming days try to bring some happiness into the thread so that when Susan does manage to return she will have some happy news too that may help to bring a smile to her face and, whilst not foremost in her mind, I'm sure in the days and weeks to come Susan will sometimes need the welcome distraction of a glitch or bargain in t's.A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. Words will never be enough to convey the sorrow I feel today. But Susan, I want you to know that me and Mum are sending you all our love and willing you the continued strength and courage that you have bore throughout dear Alan's battle.
Though having said this please, please look after yourself. You are so methodical and selfless, you are more than entitled to let go and scream until your heart's content. Please don't feel the need to be strong for everyone else. You have been Superwoman for so long and you must be exhausted.'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -

Evening
Have a bit of catching up to do, but before I go 2 things I wanted to remember to post.
Firstly I was in sainsbobs today and noticed another try me free item. It was Sweet Soy and Chilli dressing tuna steaks made by the Saucy fish co. They had a try me free sticekr on them allowing you to claim back £5. I despise fish, so I'm afraid I didn't partake and have looked everywhere for a pic of these but can't find one anywhere, so if one of you lovelies has more luck than me, could you please post it so that people can see exactly what their looking for.
And secondly for those of you that print off the L'Oreal coupons, I have actually managed to work out how to get each of the vouchers to appear and there are actually 8 different ones.
Firstly under your preferences select mainly other brands for each of the 6 categories, then with 5 categories remaining as the option mainly other brands, change one category to show L'Oreal products only.
For each one you change you will get a different voucher appear depending on the category you've changed. But remember to only change one at a time and leave the other 5 categories showing as mainly other brands.
£1.50 off L'Oreal paris elvive shampoo (change haircare to only L'Oreal)
£1.50 off any L'Oreal paris hair colourant (change hair colour to only L'Oreal)
£1.50 off L'Oreal paris elnett hairspray (change styling to only L'Oreal)
£2.00 off L'Oreal paris cosmetics (change cosmetics to only L'Oreal)
£1.50 off any men expert product (change mens to only L'Oreal)
£2.50 off L'Oreal paris revitalift repair 10 BB cream (to get this voucher to appear, you will need to select L'Oreal paris only in all 6 categories)
These 2 vouchers will both appear whatever options you select
£2.50 off L'Oreal paris skincare
£2.00 off any shade of Glamshine candy range
I hope all this helps and makes sense
Thanks fudge. Managed to get up what I needed thanks to your post. :T
I hadn't read the sad news of Mr 3dogs passing before I posted this post. My heart goes out to 3dogs. Thinking of you. xN1LDA0
