hello everyone, back from work. its now officially the weekend:j. popped into T's on way home, managed to get some good vege/salad whoopsies but nothing else had been reduced by much.

He doesn't HAVE to be punished. Even the CPS don't always prosecute if they feel its not 'in the public interest'. Seems this school is petty, small minded and lacks backbone to deal with the real issue of the bullying.

I would complain about his punishment ....in writing with CC letter to chair of governors. Let the school know that you are sending copy to chair of governors. I would also state that no further detentions (lunchtime or otherwise) should be given without discussing with parents.
If you want to stir some more ask them for further details of the incident as you are considering involving the police as an assault took place. ...if you dont consider the bully's punishment was enough (I dont!) stating that the police would not punish a victim as they have done...
