Did anyone used to listen to "The Wonderful Hour" I think it was about 3pm on a Friday on LBC with Tommy Boyd ?

Being a Friday afternoon approaching the end of the working week he felt it was a good time for people to reflect on how lucky they were, tell little anecdotes of nice things that had happened to them.

For example the baby took its first steps, a random stranger gave them a £5 note, husband bought flowers for no reason, they had something to look forward to at the weekend, these aren't very good examples but hopefully you know what I mean, so lets dig deep & think of a few nice things that have happened to us

Lets all look up instead of down we have so much to be thankful for even in troubled times in our lives

one of the kids at shcool told me today" i was special, in a good way":rotfl:does that count

    or

when i went out the morning to buy plants for my DDs garden the guy i was buying them off said to give him 15mins to sort them out, i popped round my mils to put her garden rubbish out and snapped the strap on my shoe so was having to walk home barefoot, i got back to plant selling guys house and he was loading his car boot up with my £5s worth of plants, he said hed reduced the price so £5 would be too much to cary so he was going to drive me home with them - he hadnt even noticed i was shoeless when i said this.:T what a lovely man.

i know what you mean QPR sometimes we get so bogged down with the bad or negative things we dont notice the nice things that happen
