looking out the window it looks like we're in for a massive one too. All the signs are there!

Glad I'm tucked up in work out of the way. I like storms but would rather not be out in one!

Its great having a car but when something like that happens or what happened to bubbs the other day its all a bit :(

I'm just in shock ATM :( not worth repairing I think. Side of the car pretty bad too.
It was a nice car, and recently I've been using it a lot.

this happened to me once. I got back from work and my car had moved back by about 3 foot from where i had parked it. I looked at the front and it had been caved in by a van with a step on it.

He just drove off without leaving any details. Fortunately for me, it was by a rank of shops and one of the shop people saw what happened and took the plate and company name for me.

It was written off. The step had gone right through the grill and through to the other side of the radiator. It was a pretty old car but really not the point :(

Morning, feeling really rough here this morning :(

My DS was really bad last night we ended up having to take him to the hospital last night they gave him the nebuliser 3 times, gave him steroids and antibiotics as well as having to give him his inhalers, calpol and his hay fever meds.

We finally got to bed at 4.30am and then I had to be up at 6.30am for the other kids school runs.

DS is still not good this morning :(

Hope your DS turns that corner and is soon on the mend ((((( hugs )))))

Course you can, it would be lovely to have someone to go with :)
Are you seriously thinking of moving down here?

Purdita - we would be down there like a shot, I can work from anywhere as I am self-employed but alas jobs for hubster are practically non existent - I have even found my dream home unfortunately it costs over 2 million so it will stay a dream for the time being but who knows what tomorrow will bring - I have started saving :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It was a nice car, and recently I've been using it a lot.

I went babysitting once & took my Mum's car because mine wasn't that reliable to come home in the middle of the night.

When I went outside about 1am, I had parked it a bit further down the street, the car was a write off, back, & front smashed to smitherines  I hadn't heard a thing but a car had somehow crashed & into the car parked behind it, crashed into my Mum's car & pushed it into the car in front, so badly damaged you couldn't even get the doors open.

It was just awful had to go back to the people I'd been babysitting for who I didn't really know as I worked for an agency & get them to make some phonecalls, arrived home in the middle of the night on a tow truck.

Had to tell my Mum in the morning the remains of her car were in our alleyway :(

    Tinyshoes,

Thank you for posting about your Mum last night. I too have an elderly Mum who 'doesn't want to be a bother', but sometimes causes more bother being like that!!! I get so frustrated sometimes. Reading your posts make me realise I'm not alone, so thank you.

I do hope you find her better this morning. Big hugs to you.:A
