Good morning everybody. Just screwed up the quiz but am still top on 7/10 - see Westvleteren (how the devil do you pronounce that, always wondered, or do you have to have drunk some first?) has relieved me of bottom spot though!
Who am I fooling, came on here hoping to brighten up but am fit to blub again with 3Dogs, keep wishing a miracle would happen. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I tend to think as Westvleteren as the the small, quaint Belgium village rather than the beer
:D:rotfl: Dare say a few bottles would help with the pronunciation especially at 12%
My pleasure to relieve you of bottom spot in the quiz
think I will be stuck there all day! Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Eyes dropping now.
Mum is home and tucked up in bed, I hope she will be ok until I go back in the morning.
We had a few tears earlier. Because she did something silly, she can hardly stand and decided to brush the toilet after she used it. I'm embarrassed to say I shouted at her like she was a little child and she said she wanted to go to bed and didn't want to live anymore. She keeps saying she is trying to save me and I have lost count how many times I have said if she keeps pushing herself to do silly things it won't save me at all. She will just end up making herself even more unwell.
After I calmed down a bit I gave her a big hug and stroked her face and told her she must look after her back and forget everything else and leave it to me so I will have to wait and see if she remembers.
Have read her discharge letter and yesterday's MRI does show further spread of the cancer in the same area so no more radiotherapy can be given. Also read that they would expect upper body to be affected too but it said no physical signs as yet. I expect the jumps and twitches in her arms that have caused her to drop cups of tea are probably early signs. So sad to see a loved one deteriorate in front of your eyes. I really can empathise with 3dogs on this.
My mum looked like a little lost soul tonight, sad eyes and finding it so hard to walk. I think the fight in her is subsiding a bit. She has surprised me so many times getting stronger but somehow I think this time things may be different. Pain relief been upped to 80mg zomorph twice a day now but still needing oramorph for break through pain. I love her so much but I really do not want to see her suffer anymore it breaks my heart. I was so happy to think she was coming home and would be more comfortable in her own surroundings but I'm questioning now whether she will be able to cope there on her own with me going in.
Elite 11 please forgive me for writing all this but I needed somewhere to get it off my chest, I hope it has not upset anyone who has been through what I am now. I really value the space here to open up it does really help. Thank you :A
Tinyshoes you are amazing! your mum is so lucky to have you.
If you want to keep your mum at home there are many people who can help. Do you have a palliative care nurse or social worker? try getting in some more help now so you and you mum can enjoy life together.
Your n my thoughts :A0
