Can anyone recommend an e-learning portal provider that's affordable & easy to use? I know there are lots out there, would like to have a recommendation though. I have some Level 3 (A level standard) courses that I'd like to run online.

Moodle (free) seems to be the most popular with all the schools and colleges I've dealt with and it's also used by the Open University.
Blackboard is the only other system I've heard of but I believe that's no longer kept up to date.
Moodle is fairly easy to setup, you'll need a webhost with MySQL and PHP enabled, depending on your usage you could get a basic package set up for say £50 a year, although shop around and have a look on the Tech boards for advise on web hosting.0 -
I would have to agree with tomtiddly, moodle is pretty straightforward to set up and use and is a common one for schools and colleges.0
