Cahoot not opening account

I opened the fixed rate account with Cahoot over 20 days ago and then went on holiday. When I returned I expected at least an email from Cahoot but have not received any correspondence, letter or email. I have sent them an email chaser and am waiting for a reply

In the meantime I wonder what exerience other forum members had when opening an account. Is this standard speed for cahoot as I am losing interest on my money as it is in my current waiting to transfer.

I am starting to wonder what sort of bank they are. Has any one had an experience of opening the account and how long did it take

Part of Santander - what do you expect?

Had an account long time ago with them for a short while (before santander/abbey took them over), seemed ok back then. Why not ring and find out what is happening, they may not be inclined to sending emails for security reasons.

Fixed rates on offer by cahoot at the moment are nothing to shout about.
