Postage costs for clothing - experienced sellers help please?

Hey guys,
I am looking to sell some of my old clothes on eBay as I no longer need them.
I'm wondering what to list the P&P charge as.
If anyone has sent t-shirts, jeans, or hoodies via Royal Mail, could you please post the type of postage and price here?
It would help me immensely to get a figure so that I don't end up out of pocket by offering to send things below cost, or frustrate buyers by pricing things too high.
Thanks.

if you have kitchen scales just pop your item on and weigh - then you can check the cost out.
Up to 750g is £2.20 second class or £2.70 1st class
This is a good easy to use site to check cost of posting: http://www.seajays.org.uk/postage/0 -
You really need to do as chemical galaxy suggests, there is no definite weight for anything (and weigh them in the postage bag you plan to send them in as well.) so you need to check every item individually I'm afraid! I've always found they weigh a lot more than I think they do.
Some small t-shirts may go as a large letter if you're lucky/fold them up the right way.0 -
I normally take items I'm not sure of to the Post Office and ask them to weigh them for me. If for instance it is £4.50 I put it at £5 to include the wrapping.0

I've been getting rid f some items & find that most vests / tops / light dresses come in at the £2.20 2nd class rate.
Jeans & Hoodies are bulkier, and might be more though.0
