Getting Details On Past Claims

Hello guys,
I'm going to apologise for this in advance as it's probably a stupid question and the answer is probably actually here somewhere but I can't seem to find it.
But basically, I was with Quinn Direct insurance for a couple of years, in that time I had a few claims against myself for crashes.
I gave up my car for a few years due to the costs, but I am now going to start driving again, I have been comparing quotes on comparison sites but most ask for the details of your previous claims against myself and the costs.
I was never informed of the value of the claims made against me at the time so I honestly have no idea, I don't want to estimate or guess as I obviously don't want my insurance voided if the numbers are incorrect.
Is this simply a matter of contacting my old insurer and asking for the information? will they just give it me?
Thanks for any advice

Hi leinad
I think you are being too cautious, they will expect you to estimate the cost of the claim(s).0 -
Thanks for the advice, I'm going to contact them tomorrow
