MSE News: Supermarkets cut petrol prices again

Just a quick query about fuel duty: I've just read that it's not levied when it's not used for transportation.
The article I found suggested that it might be possible to reclaim fuel duty paid out on the fuel used in things like lawnmowers or petrol strimmers, for example.
So, is this true? It's probably not worth it for my meagre lawn but, in theory, could I get a 60p per litre rebate for the petrol I've used to mow my lawn so far this year?
