I can't see this new account mentioned anywhere so thought i would pass on the info

I already have issue 2 at 3.20% which is due to lose it's bonus in August. So have been looking around for another one,and as this is not far behind at 3.10% and i certainly don't want to use Santander,I have just signed up for another year or so again.Very easy to open, very quick and easy to contact them via their messaging service.Payments to and from your bank are speedy too.All in all i can recommend them.

I have the eSaver 3 in joint names with my wife. It is permissible to have more than one issue of the eSaver at the same time. However if I was to apply for a new eSaver 4 in joint names, both my wife and I would have to have a second set of user IDs as the Nottingham are unable to combine the user IDs with our existing IDs!0

Nice one.
I also have the Issue 2 but never saw why it is 3.2% gross but 3.26% AER? For the AER do you have to have been in from day 1?0 -
It's currently showing as the other way round for me : 3.26 gross, 3.20 AER. Presumably the bonus is not for a full year.0

If you don't fancy Santander, then Kent Reliance BS have an easy access account offering 3.20% (monthly version available). I've dealt with them in the past and their service is as good as anyone elses.0 -

Your're right, and that is a good explanation, thanks0 -

The only downside to that account is that it's postal only.I prefer internet accounts, and if you regularly need to move money in and out of them it stands to reason it will be much slower by post .0 -

Odd that.Must be because they are joint accounts.I am using the same ID as before.0 -
You have to operate that by post which is just ridiculous in this day and age.The only downside to that account is that it's postal only.I prefer internet accounts, and if you regularly need to move money in and out of them it stands to reason it will be much slower by post .
That's why I'm going with Santander with their 3.20% AER (3.15% monthly). I swore never to go with them for ISAs again due to issues in the past with transfers, but, hopefully, they can't c**k up too much with an online esaver. I've currently got Notts 3.20% but bonus runs out 31 August (can't withdraw until 1 Sep), but if the best they can offer is 3.10%, well, like the saying goes "every little helps".0 -

I suppose it depends on how much you are saving and whether the risk of any problems is worth taking.Notts is so efficient, and i have heard so many bad things about Santander that for me,who does not have THAT much to save anyway! the service is the most important thing.0
