Barclays Credit card Balance Transfer - applying online

Hi I am new
I am trying to shift my current existing debt and so far managed to shift 1700GBP onto nationwide credit card. I have 900GBP remaining. I want to apply for Barclaycard with BT but wonder if they will give decision online? On the website it says you'll be given decision within 2 minutes, however when i phoned Barclaycard they say you just submit application online and wait till the post the decision to you. However I don't want to apply and then find out i am given e.g. 500GBP limit where i can't shift my remaining debt as it defys the whole purpose of me applying.

Question : has anyone applied for Barclaycard online and can tell me if they give you decision there and then?
Another question: does anyone know of other credit cards with BT where they give you instant decision if you ave been successful and credit limit BEFORE you go ahead and click submit application?

nationwide do a soft search tell you your credit limit and the apr, then if you go ahead tell you instantly if it is a decline or not. from what others have said if it tells you the apr is 19.9% it will be a decline. also barclaycard do a soft search and give you a percentage chance of approval. help this helps.

thanks, i've got nationwide already:) do you mean barclays give you percentage chance of approval after you put all your details in but before you submitted application?

it has a pre approval page, you put name, address earnings etc, it does a soft search and then tells you which of the cards they are most likely to give you. not sure how accurate it is but at least it is not a full search on your credit report until you do the full application.:)
