Hi everyone,

Just a quick question.

I have a Santander Zero card which said it has 0% foreign exchange fee but I believe they stopped doing them as you can only get a 123 and Santander normal one.

I am wondering will this still have the benefits as it used to just people are not able to apply for them anymore?

only asking as never used it overseas before so never really took advantage of the 0% commision but am going soon and want to just check it still comes 0%.

if anyone has any experience would be appreciated.

thanks,

matt.

It still works, that isn't to say they may not withdraw the commision free benefits at some point, but you would get notification of changes to your terms and conditions.

Yep, I'm using it every month, mainly in Asia and Europe. Works fine! I use it mostly for cash at ATMs and put purchases onto Nationwide Select or Post Office.

Still the same deal: no fees for cash, only interest from date of withdrawal. No forex loading.

Does get blocked sometimes - so take backups.

Used it in Spain in Apr 12 to withdraw cash. Selected Euro option rather than £ as recommended. Expected to pay interest from date of withdrawal, so overpaid slightly on next payment to account for this. Statement reflected the overpayment, but the following month's statement was £3 less, but with no explanation in the transactions of where this came from. I surmise that their software is suspect.
