Why do some tenants give renters a bad name!

Hi, just really to vent a little here, I read some stories on here and through general word of mouth about horror stories of how some tenants leave landlord's properties in a state or do a moonlight flit owing thousands, but we're not all like that, they give tenants a bad name. In my situation, I have now rented the same house for 5 years, my rent has been paid on time every single month save for one time when my bank were at fault, I personally have replaced the carpet in the lounge & the floor in the kitchen at my own expense, any minor repairs need doing I will just do it, not bothering my landlady, I keep a cat and clear up after him (he does tend to vomit in the most inconvenient places) and I love the house as my home, and my landlady knows I am truely looking after her investment and she doesn't have to worry. Why oh why do some tenants treat rental properties with such contempt? Means some people tar us all with the same brush!

Same reason some landlords give landlords a bad name... some people are unpleasant and will take a lend in whatever way possible - be it trashing a rental house, or shafting tenants into living in appalling conditions.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

very true there are some appalling landlords too. There should be a national wall of shame register for bad landlords and tenants!! LOL

Why do some taxi-drivers give taxi-drivers a bad name?
(substitute shop assistants/ferry skippers/benefit claimants/estate agents - oops, no that's all of them!)0 -
