Small 1k Loan

Does anyone know where would be a good chance of getting a loan around £1k, I am starting a new job in a few weeks and will be able to afford the monthly repayments, I tried my bank (Halfiax) but they would not give me one despite me having an URCA at £15 a month and never going over my overdraft in the past.

Just looking for a reputable company and not a PDL.

Cheers

Until you have started your job and get a regular salary, no place is going to offer you a loan.

What if the job offer falls through, how would you possibly pay it back?

What do you mean how would he pay it back? You would be paying it back for him so why should he worry?
  • Love the attitude of some people on this forum it was only a question next time I won't !!!!ing bother asking.

Unless you're this dude who got offered £10k at 6.4% whilst unemployed having just finished Uni with hardly any credit history...

  • No that isn't me I was just wondering, the job is pretty much sorted and I know I won't be able to apply for a loan for a few months into it, was just wondering what lenders are good for a small loan as most are over 5k etc.

You should have specified in your opening post that you want us to tell you lies, agree with your logic, soothe you, and all answers have to be warm and fuzzy.

(And please next time dont bother asking, we prefer to deal with adults on this forum not toys out of prams throwers)

No sorry, I wasn't implying it was you. That guy claimed to have been offered £10k from Co-Op whilst unemployed (in the same position as you with a job offer on the table).

The other posters are correct though, there is little chance of getting a loan with no mechanism to repay, traditionally you do need to have held a job for some time and can demonstrate you spend much less than you earn each month.

Your risk is heightened even further if you use your overdraft at all, not exceeding it is not much of a positive.

You must be careful in your position looking for a fairly small loan, that market is absolutely flooded with scammers. Be very careful of anyone offering you a loan.

Okay, I'll give you some advice - go to the bother of arranging a meeting with your bank, making your way down there, filling in an application form, having an entry in your credit report for the search and awaiting the decline/approval decision.

You are almost guaranteed to get the loan. You have my word.

The above posters have saved you a lot of hassle. Why do you consider that 'attitude'?

Whats a URCA ? Is it an Ultimate Reward Current Account by any chance

Is it a fee paying account from the Halifax ? Think just answered my own question

Just because you have one of them it doesnt get you a bypass ticket for a loan.
