Redundancy and Paternity : Need some help?

Hi,

I have been working for a company for the past almost 5 yrs and now due to cost cutting I am going to be made redundant as at the end of June 2012.

However I am also going to have a baby end of July 2012 and I believe I would be entitled paternity leave ( which currently I dont know how many days is it ?)

Since I am being made redudant does that mean I loose all the benefits of paternity leave just because I am 1 month short.

What is the law and how does this work?

Thanks for the help.

Paternity leave can't be taken until the baby is born. So it looks like you will miss out since this won't happen until after you leave.
