Paypal - refunds for non arrival of goods?

I bought some shoes about 2 months ago. they've never arrived and after a series of unsatisfactory emails and calls with the vendor I am told she has gone abroad! Is there anything I can do to recover money (£55) via Paypal? I sent them a message, but they just sent e a ridiculously expensive number to call them back on

You can open a paypal dispute, they will then have 7 days I think to respond. If they do not then Paypal will refund you.

How about doing a chargeback! If you have paid via paypal go back into the payment details and reverse the payment. You might be successfull. But as the OP has said you should have done something before now, as you are way beyond the 45 day period.
