Hiya, I lurk more than I post but for a while now I have been wanting to start a sweet business & just wondering if anyone has any advice about what you need to do to start doing this? I'm always looking at wholesale sites, have joined a few but cant take the leap...I have done a stall at the school in the past with jarred sweets but nothing exciting. I would sell on the internet at school events etc..so would be storing at home..any advice would be gratefully accepted. Also am in the process as registering as a child minder so will be self employed as a child minder but will I need a separate declaration as self employed if I sell sweets, its so confusing!!

You won't need a separate declaration as self-employed. You report all your self-employed income to HMRC, regardless of where it comes from.
If you search this board for sweets, you'll find some other threads about this.Signature removed for peace of mind0
