Well I have done wmx1 and hung to dry, emptied dw and whizzed around house putting last bits and bobs in their homes. Am now working. Clearly. Lol.
But, that does mean everything is cleared for when I finish work later, and so cleaning will be quicker and easier.
Do any of you lovely flyladies have any OS ideas for cleaning jewellery? Didn't want to go out and buy yet another product if there's something at home I can use. The other day I took off my wedding and engagement rings. And I haven't put them back on again. And it doesn't feel too bad. So I figure I'll just go with the flow, clean them up a bit, and I think I got the double ring box still that our wedding rings came in, so they can all go in there, and in the memory box.
I digress. I need something that will clean platinum / diamond without spoiling. And gold, possibly, as I also took off DH's st christopher charm. I'm keeping that for our son, but a little clean wouldn't hurt.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
I'm in and thanks for the lists :]
JJ - hope you feek better today
I'm doing the kitchen later as I'm gardening this morning - I've cut the grass and hacked back lots of bushes - filled a bin with all the stuff but it doesn't look like I've done anything :[
DH has just had his CRB come through the post so that means he can hand in his notice and look forward to starting his new job - yeah!!
Have a nice day everyone

Or failing that vodka... Just remember to take them out before you drink it!
As you say, just go with the flow. Wear them when you feel like it. Or even wear them on the other hand if you want. There is no right or wrong thing to do.0 -
Hello all
I'm in as best I can this week.:o
Helen Jelly thanks for the info (last week's thread, near the end) re wrist splints; the physio-terrorist did say I should try them, so I've dug out the ones I had years ago and de-retired them.:o
They drive me de-ment-ed to wear, but I'm persevering as best I can; if I can have them on for an hour at a time, a few times over the course of the day, it has to be better than nothing, say I.;)Do any of you lovely flyladies have any OS ideas for cleaning jewellery? I've made good inroads into the kitchen (today's room); I gave the draining rack a thorough clean yesterday (getting ahead of myself;)) and today I've had all the removable bits off the hob - the brass bits where the gas jets come through, and all the knobs, and given it a thorough clean, descaled the taps, and done all the surfaces over with Dettox-equivalent.
I tried to do the kitchen windowsill, but my shoulder won't co-operate enough for me to lift some of the stuff that lives there (the crockery chicken with the string and Stanley knife in, and the pots of herbs for instance) so I've just had to do what I can working round these.
I suppose I ought to have a spot of lunch, before I forget, now.:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
ah, thankyou. sounds like the drainage pump
sorry just got a bit confused!
Whatever you want to call it clean that yucky grey slim out of itwendywitch wrote: »I've stopped for a drink and found the only cold stuff is some nasty cherryade that noone will drink _pale_
Hope you tipped it down the sink, rinsed the bottle out, filled with cold water and put in the fridge for laterNeed to take DS1 to college for 2.30pm...he has officially finished his 2 year course so what now?????
Yep thinking that for DS1 who is officially finished school
Bossy - I soak mine in hot water witha dash of eco friendly washing up liquid and then brush them with an old toothbrush.
Been to town to sort out savings account with DS2. Branch had messed up the appointment but I was standing my ground and getting seen - sorry but you booked it, I'm here, sort it
Time for a cuppa and a little more flying before the paid stuff. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi everyone
Used to be a Flybaby but then had a real baby - haha - never got back on the horse. So I'd like to join in if that's ok?
Will sweep and mop floor today in kitchen but I don't think I can manage much else in the time. Off all week though so will really try and get stuck in!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

LameWolf - glad you have the splints - I used to have to sleep on the sofa sitting up with my hands crossed over my chest! I got Carpal when I was pregnant with DD [13 years ago] and decided to wait till DS was old enough not to be having to be picked up alot so had to wait 7 years till I could have the Op by which time I was in agony all the time - have the Op as soon as you can, its an easy Op with some "getting over it" time and then you're ok :]]]]
So far today - cut the grass, trod in dog poo Grrrrr, hacked down several bushes, put the Garden Wheelie Bin out for emptying today, sent DH off to get some pink bin bags, hoovered all downstairs, cleared the coffee table, hung out 1 load and have another to do
What a difference a break from the rain makes in getting stuff done - even being able to air the house is lovely.
Mum is over this afternoon, then its pick up kids, do tea and then make inroads into the hovel that is the kitchen

Meal plan for the week
Sort of meal planning going on. Well, looking at the oddments in the cupboard and trying to work out how to turn them into something resembling a meal at as near zero outlay as possible.
[/QUOTE]
I also emptied out all the utensils from their pots, sorted out what I really don't need or use and charity shopped them. Well, once I load up the box and wheel it round there, it's been charity shopped. So I'm down to one jug of utensils.
Still looks like a skip though.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
