Returning a new Car.

Hi, I wonder if anybody can help me please.
I bought a brand new car in December 2011. 5 months later it has had to be returned to the garage because of brake problems. They have recognised the problem and it is effecting a lot of cars of the same model but it cannot be fixed because they do not have the part anywhere in the UK. I took the car into them on the 3rd May. They first told me it would be repaired by end of May, this changed to 16th June which then changed to 5th July and is now moved until 10th july. Thats four date changes so far. They have now had the car almost two months. Can I force them to take the car back and return my money??
Thank you.

You could try, but even if they say yes they are likely to argue that you've had 5 months use so you wouldn't get the full amount you paid. Has the car been in the garage since May, and have they provided you with a replacement to use? What model is it?0

What car is it and what exactly is this known problem?0

They should be giving you a courtesy car at least.0
