mamas and papas question

Hi I have searched and baby item queries seem to be in this forum. Does anyone know, do mamas and papas have good sales? I know they have 10% off certain stuff and packages but my daughter likes the switch pram and it is expensive for what you get even with their current offer. Megashopbot doesn't come up with any savings so she is thinking will she buy it, look for something else or hang on there until they have a price drop?

Thank you we have had a look on ebay and also on gumtree. My daughter thinks you should not buy second hand car seats from strangers and she likes the current mimi fabric so her second hand choice is limited, depending on how far she is prepared to drive.

There are few M&P outlets around (definitely one in Huddersfield and others) that offer discounts on prams, car seats etc. If you really want new, they're the best places to try.

Have you looked to see if there is an outlet nearby?

I don't think Mama's and Papa's do massive discounts, most I've seen is £10 off or 10% off.

Your daughter is right about the 2nd hand car seat though xx

I just had a look on their website and they have up to 50 per cent off all their stuff right now.

The sales are hit and miss, they do sometimes have good discounts but not off things like prams, with car seats etc, your best bet is to try and get it when they have an offer on the specific pram like free car seat and a 10% off day, that's what I did with my pram and got a good bit off.

There customer service is the pits though.

Whereabouts are you based? I bought mine from a local independent pram shop who offered whatever deals Mamas and Papas had and then did deals on top depending on how much you bought from them. Their customer service was fab too!

There's one up near Mansfield and I think someone said one over toward Stoke way on a recent thread - but second hand buggies is one of the big second-hand markets because of buggy-addicted women who go through dozens of 'em (woman I bought a pushchair off today has been through 54 apparently!)

There are prams and travel systems in the current sale, up to 50 per cent off. worth a look.

Thank you there is 30% off the pram in their current offer but all accessories are full price and the car seat and accessories are expensive, if they had regular sales or big one offs then she could buy the pram and add to it later. M&P seem to include as little as possible in their standard packs.

Huddersfield is too far to drive on the off chance. She may find something elsewhere as she still has a couple of places to look, I just wondered if those with experience would know whether they had regular offers.
