Frustration

Hello all,

I'm currently claiming back PPI from the HFC Bank using a company, I have been offered an amount but the letter states that HFC will keep it to pay arrears, the loan originally was passed to a debt collection agency and was part of an IVA that ended two years ago. I have all the necessary paperwork saying I completed the IVA and a form saying that I paid back HFC 100% of what I originally owed.

Are the HFC allowed to do this? I feel as though they are stalling and hoping I'll give up on the claim. The problem being that if I do I will owe the PPI company £420 fees, so it could ultimately cost me £420 to get nothing. Also if I refuse to sign the offer form from the PPI company would I be right in saying they cannot charge me anything? Working on the assumption that if I get nothing, I should owe nothing?

Why are you using a PPI company? Absolute waste of good money.

Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."
