NatWest - who's the best alternative?

The only UK banks with legacy replacement programmes in place at the moment are Nationwide (just replaced front office systems with SAP) and the Co-operative Bank (replacing mainframe and eBanking with 'Finacle' banking software in next 1-2 years).
All the rest have creaking 60s-70s core mainframe applications with bolted-on web, mobile, CRM apps etc.Ethical moneysaver0 -
How about Metro Bank ? - they are quite a new bank

"Metro Bank has a unique business model for the retail banking industry in that it runs all of its IT externally. If it can be outsourced it has been. Kane leads an internal technology team of just six people that test vendor systems that are installed on a Software-as-a-Service basis and devise strong Service Level Agreements and management protocols to ensure a smooth operation"Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. OK, so suggestions please, anyone?
We are currently drawing up a DMP. We bank with HSBC but have to switch because we have a credit card with them and o/d. We also have credit with Tesco, Santander and Barclaycard. I was considering going back to Natwest (although I left them around 8 years ago because there was a change in ownership I think, and then suddenly they became annoying ringing me up all the time trying to get me to take new products). I need a bank with convenient cash machines and online banking to be able to manage our account properly. If I open the account prior to taking the DMP it should be easier shouldn't it? I'm not currently in arrears (just struggling). So who ticks all the boxes?0 -
I've just switched my account from Santander to Nationwide, so far so good
I popped into a branch yesterday to hand in my ISA transfer form, the lady who served me was very polite and helpful.
Internet banking is very good imho.
Am able to use all cash machines I could before.LBM 24/05/2012 :TAugust NSD 10/12 * £2 savers0 -
