Theres a lovely marina in Yassmine Hammamet, and an ice skating rink if you fancy a chill off.
In that area the beach can be upto 20 mons walk away from the hotel, so a lot of relaxing is done by the pool.

The medina at Yassmine Hammamt is new, thats worth a wonder, but barter for England, theres a nice restaurant just by the elephants, (entry level), think begins with an S, - we had unday lunch there, and 3 of the party went for the full English including my daughter, they had 7 veg on the plate, me and one of the lads both had fillet steak, the billfor 6 of us 6 x main meals, 12 x drinks, was 143 dinars we rounded it up to 150 dinars (£60), hot food, fresh, and masive plate full, the manager is English.

if you get chance its worth going to the Old medina in Hammamet, be about 10 dinars (£4) in a taxi, complete difference, or you could go by noddy train, thats got to be done at least once for the experience.

There are a lot of rickshaw appearing there, i personally would avoid them.

Friday is market day in nebul, cheaper to go in taxi then on organised coach trip, (15 dinars from yassime), the taxi driver will usually ask if you want picking back up, if they've been a good driver, then I say yes and there be at the time, I would allow couple of hours, but take some water if you go out and about.
    xx

One of the stunts over there - get out of taxi, or your walking around, your be approached friendly person, i'm your waiter / chef its my day off, don't you remember me, then us being British feel awful we don't know him but he knows our hotel!!
1 - he's seen the all inclusive wrist band that you've got on
2 - he has given the taxi driver a tip to find out where you have been picked up from.

Basically they offer to take you round, then your end up in a carpet factory.

A trick we used, (worked) was say, "i'm so glad i've seen you, you forget my change last ngt, I gave you a 20 dinar note for the drinks, you never brought the 10 dinars back.......
This bloke actually went in pocket to get me 10 dinars....

Just a firm no thank you, does the trick.

Ps any room in the suitcase... xx

I got caught out by this when I was a young innocent lad.

Ended up in a carpet shop and they locked the door until we bought a carpet! Scary stuff!

Less than 2 dinars by public bus. Runs every 30 minutes, catch it outside that awful faux Medina in Yasmine. Runs early until very late.
That bus also stops outside the Post Office near Hammamet Medina. Opposite that bus stop you can catch the hourly bus (on the half hour) to Tunis. Takes an hour, and enjoy the sights of a busy North African capital city. With a bit of planning it's easy enough to take in Sid Bou Said on a day trip from Hammamet too.
