Anyone know when this is open, it just says Summer 2012?

Planning on going to Beamish for day out and then there later

The only sure way to find out is old-fashioned, but effective.

Ring the council, either at the town hall, or parks and gardens at the site itself - both numbers on the website.

Your post suggests Beamish and Preston Park in one day.

I can't see you managing that, Beamish is a large site, and it's a canny hike between the two.

I emailed them on Sunday got a reply today.

Its open "The museum is reopening fully to the public
on Friday 27th July, and will then be open Tuesday-Sunday 10-4pm."

I did both sites many years ago so it can be done we only spent about 2 hours tops at Preston Hall. Maybe Beamish has expanded a lot more then it was around 2001/2.

Anyway not sure we can do both now as we want to go before school holidays
