Hi all
are there still grants given for loft insulation, if so where is the best place to go for it, is it a council run scheme?
what do they use the itchy fibreglass stuff??
thanks in advance.

I recently rang BG who are my suppliers and they sent an assesor round to inspect. I was told that i can have it done for free regardless of income.0

Most energy companies will do it for free because they benefit from it. It will most likely be the fibre glass or mineral wool insulation which are both itchy types.
You could also get cavity wall insulation done and that is also likely to be free.0 -
When I installed my extra insulation I used stuff which came encased in thin plastic wrapping, so very little contact with anything itchy.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
