Insurance for flat in Scotland ?

I need to insure a flat in Aberdeen that my son is living in.
At the moment I have a buildings and contents policy with Intersure but am looking to get a better price. Can anyone point me in the direction of a comparison website that caters for this sort of thing?
I am not sure the usual sites cover building insurance for flats.
There are six flats in the block but there is no way to get all of the other tenants to agree to a combined buildings policy so I just need to get cover for my own property.
Thanks

There is no one managing the block.
I was under the impression that by its very nature it is more difficult to get buildings cover for an individual flat and I would need to go to a specialised company but if you indicate that I can go to the big comparisions site and get covered there I will have to give them a try.

Choose the insurer then you could call them and check they are ok with a flat.
The sites usually ask the property type so if they quote for a flat, I can't see why there would be a problem.0 -
In Scotland, Insuring flats separately is standard as the law is different to England. You may need to phone a broker or talk to Insurers, as I am not sure all internet sites will cope with this. They tend to be England centric. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0

Huckster, thats what I found when I insured last year.
I was hoping there was a site that would allow me to compare quotes with a Scottish slant.

What McConfused !
I think some of them will accept you putting in Buildings Insurance for a flat. Just give it a go.
Most brokers are effectively a mini comparison site and advice service at the same time. They will deal with many different companies and will see which is the best deal for you. Many people think incorrectly that they get the best deal via a comparison site. This is a myth, as the Insurers have to pay the comparison site a commission. The comments I post are personal opinion.
