Selling Eurail Pass worth ₤390 - help/advice needed

I bought this pass earlier this year, hoping to travel through Europe by train, however, one of my family recently passed away so I have to stay here to take care of things. ₤390 is a lot of money to waste (for a student anyway), so I REALLY need to find someplace online to sell it ASAP - I've already tried Gumtree but I've only got 4 hits so far. (a name change is allowed by Eurail)

ah should've mentioned that - I booked my Eurail pass through a travel agent and not directly from Eurail.com, so apparently I'm not eligible for the refund.

A friend suggested I contact a few of the major hostels in the major cities and ask them to advertise it for me. Is this a feasible idea?0
