Transferred from cash isa to savings account

Hi All. I have recently transferred £10k from my isa(Barnsley BS, I had to leave £100 in the account)) to my current account(hsbc),this was to increase my funds for a business deal which is now not going to go ahead. What do you think would be the best action? I was thinking of putting some of it into my pension & maybe using some for house improvements(from what I read it can't go back into an isa).
Many thanks for all help & advise, Paul.

No I haven't.0

So put 5.6K back into an ISA.
Then either save the rest in the best acct you can find (as you will now pay tax on it) or spend it as you like incl what you mentionned.
And next time, maybe wait a bit before cashing in an ISA until you know for sure you need the cash? Once you lose the old ISA status you can't get it back.0
