European river cruise early december

Hi,
Can anyone please recommend an MSE seven day European river cruise for the first week in December (anniversary)
There are so so many options out there my brain is getting mushy!
Many thanks

Not a personal recommendation but some years ago my parents did a Rhine cruise in late November and loved it. There was something new every day and mum said it was hardly like being on a boat at all it was so smooth, dad's comment was about how it was mostly older people so no trouble with screaming kids.
They have both passed away now so I can't get any details of start finish points for you.

Does it have to be a River Cruise?

Plenty of (VERY) low cost Med cruises on very good ships.

The Rhine gets a thumbs up from me too, not done a full on river cruise there but have spent lots of time in the area and it's beautiful. We love cruising and have done some rivers and this is one we are thinking of before too long.

I think the sea might be a little rough in December, what are you recommending?
    Thanks

    Take a look here - http://vacationstogo.com/ticker.cfm?sort=v&r=11&sm=201212&tm=201212

Those prices are in USD so divide by 1.55 to get £GBP - there will be port taxes on top.

The prices are for inside cabins but you can click for oceanview or balcony etc. Then click the "our starting price" to show lowest prices first.

We are going on Serenade of the Seas out of Barcelona on January 4th - a 10 night cruise for only £625 each plus low cost flights (ours are easyjet £115 each return inc bags, priority boarding etc).

So, a great 10 night cruise in a balcony cabin on a very nice ship for just £740 each (be sure to book thru US agent for lowest prices). We also got $100 credit for onbaord spending money.

I expect the cruise price to drop again soon and a US agent will claim the difference and refund it for you (if asked).

If you want early December, then take a look at this one - http://vacationstogo.com/fastdeal.cfm?deal=11644 - an oceanview cabin for 11 nights costing just £416 per person (plus taxes and flights).

At least the weather will be better than europe river cruise in winter.

beware the advice that the US is always cheaper it is not true.

not sure about I tink some of the river cruises risk ice at that time of year I know my parents got caught out one year early season by late Ice.

Loads of med options, weather variable but ports are quiet for tourists.

you should have a look at rebooking £520 now for a balcony past pax rate

Our D2 (not E3) balcony on RCI UK website is £699 per person.

The past passenger discount is £75 per person.

That makes it £624 each - roughly the same as the US price.

However, the US agent gives us $100 onboard credit and will refund any price drops (which RCI UK wont do).
